And now for Some Quilting bits.
Sometime ago I asked my brother if he could make me a quilt stand, this is what he came up with....Aren't I lucky !
The Catch
These are just some of the Salmon we caught over the 9 day's, I caught a 3-4lb salmon on a tiny hook just on dusk at Mt.Camel Beach. All up we would have caught 200 salmon plus. It's not the most fantastic picture of me, but eh your meant to be looking at the fish not me. !!
Locks Well
For many years, Locks Well was a rugged climb for anglers hauling their catch up to the car park. Nowadays the modern fisherman has access to a 283 step staircase. A lookout offers panoramic view of the rugged coastline of the Eyre Peninsula.
Our Trip To Elliston South Australia
Elliston is a delightful seaside town located 169 km northwest of Port Lincoln and 641 km west of Adelaide via the Princes and Eyre Highways. Set between rolling and pleasant sheep and wheat country and some of the most interesting and dramatic coastline on the Eyre Peninsula

ADELAIDE
I am here in Adelaide, and it's now 11pm Adelaide time, I should be in bed as I have to be up in 5hours to leave on our trip over to Elliston but I'm not that tired so I decided to write in here until I feel a little more sleepy. The flight over was fine, left Melbourne right on 8pm and arrived here 1hr 10 mins later.

It's strange how some weeks seem longer than others, even tho the hours in the day haven't altered but I feel this week has been soooooo long. I still haven't uploaded those pictures so I will endeavour to get them on here over the weekend. DD has started her apprenticeship in hairdressing, this week one of the clients gave her a tip as he said it's the best head massage I've ever experienced, she was a good girl and split the tip with one other girl who works there as she did the initial consultation.
Not a long happening this weekend, S & B tonight at one of the other Bitches houses, tomorrow I have to go and collect my embroidery machine as it's back from having a service under warranty. It's been a busy couple of weeks so tomorrow night I think I just might put my PJ's on, recline back in the chair with my sewing. Sunday..mmmmmm don't know but then it's Monday again....yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Hope all are well in blogland till next time.

Dear Me where has the time flown, here we are in April and I've not done anything on my blog since Christmas. I will...I must....and I should upload some photo's that I've taken, it's something that I've promised I will do but haven't done it...smack my bum!!!.
I still haven't finished my brother's quilt only have to finish the quilting and the borders then it's done, but night time isn't actually the right lighting to sew dark on dark but I must get and finish it, also my daughters japanese quilt that I was meant to have finished by her 21st birthday which was in February...norty mother aren't I?
Again that is dark sewing on dark fabric so not the easy on the eyes.
Anyway, I must away and do some things otherwise I'll be on this blogging thing for ages...love to all...........xx

decorations and bits
Christmas is a time when families and friends get together to enjoy a meal, a few drinks and a good laugh, it doesn't matter if your sitting down to a sandwich instead of the traditional roast dinner or seafood meal, it's the people your with that make it. I love making the house christmasie, each year I create a theme on the tree, it's been pink and silver, purple and silver, but this year I've done it in red and gold, I think it looks like those huge decorated ones you see in the major stores. I've got my singing bears on the dresser, my christmas quilt (finished intime) hanging on the wall, hanging santa in my dining room and bits and bobs everywhere..while I was doing all this over the weekend I had Christmas carols playing on the stereo just to create the ambiance .... IT REALLY IS CHRISTMAS.
On a quilty note, I don't think I'll get to finish Paul's quilt intime for Christmas, so I will give it to him but I'll have to take it back so I can finish it. He became a grandfather just a few weeks ago and asked me if I could make him a baby quilt so he can give it to her as a christmas gift but I've been too busy trying to complete his but I feel guilty about not doing it as he didn't hesitate when I asked him if he could make me a quilt stand so I hope when he see's the one I've made him he will understand why I couldn't make the baby one.
I will post pictures of my decorations and quilt stand as soon as I upload them.
Thats it from me for another day........tada.

Paul's Quilt
Finally took a photo of Pauls' quilt which I'm hand quilting, I hope to have it finished for a Christmas Present for him. All the pictures represent things through his childhood.
The Trains - My Dad and grandfather were both train drivers.
Billy Cart - whoohoo he had the bestest Billy cart on the block until one day he got mad with it and put the axe through it.
Bus - it was his mode of transport to secondary college.
Boats - He Loves boats.
I hope he likes it.
